A2P 10DLC Registration and Rescue
Most carrier rejections trace back to something specific: a missing consent checkbox, a privacy policy that never mentions SMS, or sample messages that do not match the use case. We find it, fix it, and resubmit.
- Timeline
- Submission ready in 3 to 5 business days. Carrier review time is outside our control.
- Investment
- Scoped per build
- You end up with
- An approved campaign and texts that reach the phone.
This is for you if
- Your campaign was rejected and the reason code explains nothing.
- SMS fails without an error, so workflows run and nobody receives anything.
- You have resubmitted twice and been rejected twice.
- You run an agency with a queue of client sub-accounts stuck at the same step.
What we deliver
- An audit of the rejected brand and campaign submission against current carrier criteria
- Compliant opt-in on every form: an explicit consent checkbox, unchecked by default, with the required disclosure
- Privacy Policy and Terms pages covering SMS consent, message frequency, data handling, and opt-out
- Sample messages rewritten to match the declared use case
- Brand details corrected so the legal name, EIN, address, and website agree
- Resubmission and follow-up until the campaign is approved
- A compliance checklist so your next sub-account passes the first time
How A2P 10DLC registration works in GoHighLevel
US carriers require every business that texts customers from a standard 10-digit number to register a brand and a campaign. In GoHighLevel you do this from the Trust Center in your sub-account phone settings, in this order.
Business profile
Enter your legal business name, EIN, business type, address, and website exactly as they appear on your IRS records. A legal name that does not match the EIN is one of the most common reasons a brand fails. Businesses without an EIN register as a sole proprietor, which comes with lower sending limits.
Brand registration
GoHighLevel submits your profile to The Campaign Registry, which checks it against public business records. Registration carries one-time and recurring carrier fees, and your Trust Center shows the current amounts.
Consent on your website
Every form that collects phone numbers needs an SMS consent checkbox that is optional and unchecked by default. The disclosure next to it names your business, the message frequency, that message and data rates may apply, and how to opt out. Your privacy policy has to cover SMS and state that you do not share mobile numbers with third parties for marketing.
Campaign registration
Pick the use case that matches what you send, such as customer care or marketing, describe how customers opt in, and add sample messages. Each sample should include your business name and opt-out instructions and match the use case you chose.
Carrier review
Review takes anywhere from a few days to several weeks. Rejection notices are brief, so check every field against the list below before you resubmit.
Common reasons a campaign gets rejected
- The website is offline, unfinished, or shows a different name than the registered brand.
- The privacy policy never mentions SMS, or it allows sharing mobile numbers with third parties.
- The consent checkbox is missing, pre-checked, or required to submit the form.
- Sample messages leave out the business name or the opt-out instructions.
- The campaign description or use case does not match the sample messages.
- The legal business name does not match the EIN on file.
Questions we get asked
How many times can we be rejected before it becomes a problem?
Rejections cost money and can slow the next review, but they do not block you for good. The expensive mistake is resubmitting the same package with cosmetic edits. Every attempt should fix a cause you have identified.
Can you fix multiple client sub-accounts at once?
Yes, and most of our A2P work looks like this. We build one compliant template for forms, policy pages, and sample copy, then apply it across the queue. After the first account, the cost per account drops a lot.
Our website is on Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress. Does that matter?
The platform does not matter. The consent language and policy pages need to exist at a public URL that matches your registered brand. We write them and tell you where to publish, or publish them ourselves if you give us access.
